Hi JustUs, I recently asked about my relationship with my man of 8yrs who hadn't proposed. From reading your response I gathered the nerve to ask him why hadn't he proposed and made our relationship concrete. He said he hadn't thought it was a big deal and that we knew we loved one another. So I told him how it would make me feel if we'd got married and represented a good strong family to our child-'ren' (which will have a sibling later this year, I'm pregnant). So he sat for a second... then says, " iight, let's do it." I said, ' OK,' he got up and left it at that. I guess I should be happy right? But why am I not? He hasn't brought it up again but he doesn't seem like it's a big deal either. Now I'm confused.

Sabrina,Congratulations on your engagement & new baby! Now what are you confused about again? Did you not get what you asked for? Oh!? - Is it because he didn't get down on bended knee and declare his love? You presented it in a casual conversation and he agreed. He even expressed to you how he acknowledges the love you have for each other. This man without much hesitations agreed to marry you in the very conversation you expressed in wanting to get married. Let it settle in, what you two have is worth more than a "bended knee!"
